Our knowledgeable staff can help you with most questions over the telephone. If you want to explore a concern more privately, just ask. Go to the contact us page to get in touch with the Fuller Chiropractic team today! If you want to help speed your first visit in our office, you may click on one of the new patient history forms, print it, fill it out, and bring it with you to your first visit. Or, if time allows, we can mail you a history form; just let us know. _______________________________________________________________
What should I expect on my first visit?
Consultation On your first visit to our office, you will be welcomed by our staff and asked to fill out some paperwork (or bring in your filled out paperwork). You will have time to talk with one of the doctors about your specific concerns regarding your current condition, and we will do our best to answer all of your questions. We will determine what the best course of action is to achieve results. If your condition requires medical testing, you may be referred to another physician. So you can be prepared, the first visit to our office takes about an hour.
Examination After your initial consultation, you will receive a complete chiropractic examination, including an evaluation of your posture and spinal range of motion, as well as any necessary orthopedic and neurological tests.
X-Rays If the doctor feels it is necessary, he/she will take x-rays to better understand the position and condition of your spine. These images will be integrated in our analysis of your health condition and will help us to determine the best care plan for you. If you have had recent spinal x-rays, please let us know. If you can, try to get copies of any x-rays, reports, and other testing before you come in. Any prior test results will help us help you.
Report of Findings Once your exams and X-rays have been analyzed, you will meet with the doctor to go over the results. At this time he/she will recommend a specific treatment plan for you and answer any questions you have regarding your care. Remember, you choose how you want to proceed. The doctor will then educate you about the importance of postural and spinal alignment, how it relates to overall health and what to expect during and after treatments (called adjustments).
Treatment Treatment plans will be designed to fit your needs, and you can choose how you wish to proceed. If you are in pain, the main focus will be to provide you with quick relief. Visits involve chiropractic adjusting, exercises, therapy, and home advice which will hopefully decrease your pain and improve your range of motion. Many patients see results after their first visit or after a few adjustments. Once you are feeling better, the doctor will focus on rebuilding your spinal and postural alignment back to a more balanced position utilizing the most up-to-date techniques available. This will help you perform optimally and prevent future spinal degeneration. You will also be shown home exercises to help speed progress and to try to reduce the chances of problems returning. Most techniques we use are gentle and we enjoy working with people from all walks of life; adults, pregnant moms, babies, children, and seniors.
